Several restaurants recognized in Spoon University's 'The Bests of Durham, as Chosen by Duke Students'

Sushi Love, Dames Chicken & Waffles, Divinity School Café, Bull City Burger & Brewery, Pompieri Pizza, Washington Duke Inn,The Parlour, Cocoa Cinnamon, Parlez-Voux Crepes, and Monuts Donuts were all featured in Spoon University's 'The Bests of Durham, as Chosen by Duke Students.'

Coalition to Unchain Dogs wins national award

The Coalition to Unchain Dogs and its director, Lori Hensley, won the 2015 ASPCA Henry Bergh Award. Hensley will receive the award Thursday in New York City. The coalition began in 2007 in Durham and now has chapters in Raleigh and Orange County.

Durham was recognized by FDI Intelligence as the No. 6 small city for economic potential for the 2015-16 annual awards for American Cities of the Future.

Fullsteam Brewery wins Good Food Award

Fullsteam Brewery, won a Good Food Award for their Brandy Barrel-Aged First Frost. The awards
 honor products that contribute to local and sustainable food communities. The Good Foods project is a national collaboration of food producers, farmers, food journalists and independent grocers organized by San Francisco-based nonprofit Seedling Projects.
