The City of Durham has received an honorable mention from the
U.S. Conference of Mayors for the innovative development and launch of the
Holton Career and Resource Center, a state-of-the-art vocational school, recreation center, and community clinic that improves the lives of thousands of students and community members who use the services provided there every day. The Honorable Mention
City Livability Award, one of the most competitive programs sponsored by the U.S. Conference of Mayors, recognizes Durham’s effort to breathe new life into Northeast Central Durham.
