Clean Energy Durham Receives New Grants
Clean Energy Durham was awarded a grant worth $85,945 from the state and one worth $12,352 from The Piedmont Conservation Council to help residents in Northeast Central Durham save household energy.
Gregg Cusick Wins Short Story Competition
Durham writer Gregg Cusick won $1,000 in the Lorian Hemingway Short Story Competition for "Gutted," chosen from 1,653 submissions by American and international writers.

$250,000 grant to Durham Tech
Durham Technical Community College received a $250,000 grant from Gateway to College National Network to create Project DEgree to help under-prepared students prepare for college work.
