who has been teaching for 27 years and at the School of Science and Mathematics since
2008, has won a Grammy for Music Educator of the Year. He was chosen from a field of more than 4,500
nominations from all 50 states.

NCSSM Break World Record
The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics have officially broken the world record for the amount of nonperishable food collected in one day at one location by collecting 540,508 pounds of food.

NCSSM Students Recognized
Jessie Duan and Bryce Taylor, seniors at Durham's North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, were named state winners of the 2010 Siemens Awards for Advanced Placement which recognizes up to 100 of America's top achievers in Advanced Placement science and mathematics courses with a $2,000 college scholarship.
