Durham-Chapel Hill MSA Rank 6th for Health and Wealth in US

The Durham-Chapel Hill metro area came in at No. 6 in the nation among the top markets for health and wealth, which took into account 13 factors from data across five major categories, including lifestyle, disease, environment, economy and real estate according to a new report by RealtyTrac and Local Market Monitor.

Seven Durham Businesses Recognized on Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies

Inc. 5000 has recognized seven Durham businesses on its list of Fastest Growing Companies. ReverbNation was the highest-ranking Triangle company on the list, coming in at #345.  BioAgilytix Labs was ranked at #1341,  Bronto Software was ranked at No. 1702, Appia was ranked at #1715, Research Square was ranked at #1779, Scale Finance of was ranked at #3680 and WorkSmart was ranked at #4181.

Durham Restaurants on Top 100 List

Southern Living magazine has released their list, The Top 100 Places to Eat Now on which Durham restaurants Mateo Tapas and Pizzeria Toro are listed.  Durham was named The South's Tastiest Town by the magazine in April.

Duke University's Brodhead on Colbert Report

Durham, NC was ranked lowest on the list of The Loudest Cities in America by Men's Health magazine on their website.  That makes Durham the quietest of them all.  Shhhh...

Durham Receives $55,000 HUD Grant

Durham has been awarded a $55,752 grant through the 2012 Continuum of Care Competition by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.  The grant will fund operations of the Carolina Homeless Information Network.
