The City’s Fleet Management Department was awarded 50th place in the Government Green Fleet™ Awards from Green Fleet Magazine, Green Fleet Conference organizers, and The 100 Best Fleets in North America. The City of Durham is the only city in North Carolina to make the Top 50 list. The Government Green Fleet Award is open to the more than 38,000 federal, state, and local government fleets in North America.
