Two Durham Schools Rank in Top 2,000 of Best High Schools

Two Durham schools received a “silver medal,” ranking in the top 2,000 nationally of the U.S. News & World Report’s 2014 Best High Schools list. Kestrel Heights School in Durham was ranked at 1,744 and Hillside New Tech High in Durham at 1,997.

Two Durham Golf Courses Rank in Top 30 Golf Courses in NC

Two Durham golf courses, Treyburn Country Club and Forest Creek Golf Club have been recognized in a ranking of the top 30 golf courses in North Carolina by the 2014 North Carolina Golf Panel.

American Meltdown wins awards at Grilled Cheese Invitational

Paul Inserra of Durham food truck American Meltdown won several awards at the Grilled Cheese Invitational in Los Angeles. He competed in three categories and was honored in each one, including the Judge’s Award for excellence in a “anything goes,” category, third place in the Honey Pot dessert group, and second-place in the Missionary group, which allows just bread, cheese and butter.
