Durham Makes Paste Magazine's List of Top 5 Most Influential Music Towns

Durham, together with Chapel Hill and Raleigh, made Paste's list of the top five most influential college towns in music. The magazine gave special shout outs to Durham music heavies Merge Records, Megafaun, Schooner, The Carolina Chocolate Drops and of course, Duke University.

Durham Picks up Grammy Awards

The Durham-based Carolina Chocolate Drops won the Grammy for Best Traditional Folk Album with "Genuine Negro Jig" and "The Suburbs" by Arcade Fire (on Durham's Merge Records) won the album of the year award.
