Durham was recognized as the best city in North Carolina for food lovers on a budget, according to a new report from WalletHub. The report, "2015 Best and Worst Foodie Cities for Your Wallet," ranks the 150 largest U.S. cities according to dining affordability, the number of restaurants per capita, diversity of culinary offerings, cost of groceries, average beer and wine prices, number of farmers markets and other factors relating to food and drink.

Deep South Magazine Lauds Scratch and Will & Pop's
Scratch Bakery and Will and Pop's Food Truck appeared on Deep South Magazine's list "Where to Eat in the South in 2012" as #33 and #35 respectively. Deep South lauds Scratch for its "focus on seasonal, artisan baking" and Will and Pop's for "serving exclusively local products five days a week."

Durham 'Best Restaurants of 2011' Winners
News & Observer food critic Greg Cox named Magnolia Grill the Triangle's Restaurant of the Year. Additionally, Nana's received a Gold Medal. Fairview, Four Square, Revolution and Watts Grocery received Silver Medals. Blu Seafood and Bar, Dos Perros, Los Comales, and Vin Rouge received Best in Class rankings while G2B and Happy China were among the area's Best New Restaurants.

Durham Food Truck Welcomes Guest Employee, Former *NSYNC Member
Durham food truck Chirba Chirba Dumpling will appear on the new reality series "My Family Recipe Rocks" hosted by former *NSYNC star Joey Fatone. The shoot included one day of dumpling prep at Durham food business incubator, The Cookery, and one with Fatone working the truck. "My Family Recipe Rocks" premieres on Jan. 14 on the Live Well network, part of the ABC Family and Disney.

Phoebe Lawless of Scratch Bakery will appear on the Cooking Channel's "For The Love of Pie." The program airs at 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 16th and features scenes shot in Durham in July and includes moments at the Durham Farmer's Market.

Papa Mojo's Wins Wisconsin Cheeseburger Contest with Cheeseburger Po Boy
Papa Mojo's was one of 12 restaurants from across the country to win Wisconsin Cheeseburger Contest with their recipe for the "Cheeseburger Po Boy." The contest was sponsored by US Foods and the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board Winners. Winners were selected based on creativity, originality, innovative cooking techniques, use of current industry trends and the inclusion of Wisconsin cheese.
