The Makery Wins The Smoffice

The Makery was announced as the winner of The Smoffice, a startup competition for 6 months of free space in the world's smallest office, a downtown condo and access to technical experts. The Smoffice is a partnership between Downtown Durham Inc and the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce.

City Council Approves Public Art Program for Durham

The Durham City Council passed a resolution to devote up to one percent of funds from the proposed General Capital Improvement Project annual budget to the installation of public art around the city and downtown. The percent-for-public art program was a high priority section of Durham's Cultural Master Plan.
