Fullsteam Brewery wins 2016 Good Food Award

Fullsteam Brewery received a 2016 Good Food Award in the beer category for their Brandy Barrel-Aged First Frost brew. The awards honor products that contribute to local and sustainable food communities. The Good Foods project is a national collaboration of food producers, farmers, food journalists and independent grocers organized by San Francisco-based nonprofit Seedling Projects.

Fullsteam Brewery earns "Best Bbq-Inspired Beer" from Southern Living

Fullsteam Brewery was recognized on Southern Living's  "Best of Southern BBQ awards" for their Hogwash Hickory-Smoked Brown Porter, created specifically to pair with North Carolina-style barbecue.

Fullsteam Brewery's Summer Basil Farmhouse Ale was recognized in the category of "Best Beer" and Big Spoon Roasters Mission Almond nut butter was recognized in the category of "Best Jam and Best Spreads" in "The 2015 Southern Living Food Awards."

North Carolina was ranked #15 out of the 50 United States for its Beer scene by Thrillist, prominently mentioning Durham businesses like Fullsteam Brewery and Sam's Quik Shop in "Every State In the USA Ranked By Its Beer."

Four Durham Chefs and Restaurants Recognized as Semifinalists for James Beard Award


The James Beard Foundation announced that four Durham restaurants are among the 2013 James Beard Foundation Awards Restaurant and Chef Award Semifinalists:
  1. Mateo bar de Tapas in the category of Best New Restaurant
  2. Pheobe Lawless of Scratch Bakery in the category of Outstanding Pastry Chef
  3. Sean Lilly Wilson of Fullsteam Brewery in the category of Outstanding Wine, Spirits, Beer Professional
  4. Scott Howell of Nana's in the category of  Best Chef in the Southeast

Durham's Fullsteam Brewery has been listed as a 2013 finalist for the Beer category in the annual Good Food Awards, which honors artisan food and beverage producers. Winners will be announced in San Francisco on January 18, 2013.

Fullsteam to Represent North Carolina in Northwest Cherries' Tree to Table Challenge

Fullsteam Brewery will represent the state of North Carolina in Washington Fruit Commission's Northwest Cherries "Tree to Table" challenge. In honor of National Ranier Cherry Day on July 11, the cherry organization has selected an iconic restaurant or food producer in each state to incorporate the yellow red-blushed cherries into its menu this month.
