Durham recognized on 'Best Cities To Found a Startup Outside Silicon Valley and New York' list

Business intelligence firm DataFox recognized Durham as one of  2015's Best Cities to Found a Startup Outside Silicon Valley and New York.  The presence of American Tobacco Campus, and Duke University contribute to a high growth rate for young startups and a high density of entrepreneurs.

StartupBus adds Durham Stop

The StartupBus has added Durham’s American Underground as a stop on its route on the way to the South by Southwest Interactive conference in Austin, Texas. The bus packs "entrepreneurs" – all strangers – who are tasked with conceiving of and planning the launch of a startup over the course of a three-day road trip. Upon arrival, these “buspreneurs” are supposed to ready to launch.

Durham Debuts Bull City Bucks App

Bull City Buck$, a new app designed to reward patrons for supporting Durham businesses, encourage visits to new places downtown and to inspire out of town visitors to explore downtown Durham. The free app, which was created in American Underground by Albright Digital, keeps a tally of points earned by scanning QR codes at participating businesses. Bull City Bucks can also be logged on the website www.bullcitybucks.com.
