Duke University Hospital and Duke Regional Hospital have earned top recognition for outstanding patient care in 2013 from The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in the U.S.
The City of Durham has tied with the City of Hampton, Va. for fourth place in the 125,000–249,999 population category in the 2014 Digital Cities Survey by e.Republic’s Center for Digital Government and the Digital Communities Program for its use of technology to improve transparency with residents and operate more efficiently with taxpayer dollars.
