Durham Receives“Citizen-Engaged Community” Designation

The Public Technology Institute (PTI) has once again designated the City of Durham as one of 13 “Citizen-Engaged Communities” from throughout the United States for 2013-2015 for its use of technology to connect with residents. This is the second time PTI has selected Durham for this designation.

Three Durham Churches Among Fastest Growing in US

World Overcomers Christian Church in Durham has been ranked 16th fastest growing church in the U.S. by Outreach magazine. Newhope  Church was ranked 26th fastest growing, and the Summit Church ranked 96th. The magazine’s annual list of top 100 churches, released Sunday, was determined after 27,000 evangelical Protestant churches were contacted by LifeWay Research to self-report data.
