Open Table recognized four Durham restaurants as top ten diners choice restaurants in the triangle
M Sushi, Counting House, Nana Steak, and Mateo, were recognized by Open Table as top ten diners choice restaurants in the triangle. M. Sushi landed the No.1 spot.
TheTriangle was recognized as a top ten city for urban farming
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has recognized the Durham and Raleigh metro area as the No. 10 top city for urban farming. Homes in these cities have the most gardens, greenhouses and chicken coops in the nation.

Duke University named Tree Campus USA
Duke University has been named "Tree Campus USA" designated by the Arbor Foundation. This year marked the eighth straight Duke was recognized as a Tree Campus USA, which honors the campus’ commitment to sustainability and a tree care program.
Durham Distillery takes home four awards from the San Francisco Spirits Competition
Durham Distillery took home the gold medal for its
Conniption Navy Strength Gin; silver for its Conniption American Dry Gin; and
bronze medals for its Damn Fine Coffee Liquer and Damn Fine Mocha Liquer at the
San Francisco Spirits Competition in March.
