Weekend Showing of Community Support Will Keep WNCU's Signal Alive

After a weekend of fund-raising, WNCU has raised the necessary funds to replace its 16-year-old transmitter. The station's Keeping the Signal Alive Campaign raised more that $20,000 which ensures that WNCU can continue to broadcast jazz, blues, reggae and modern African music without interruption. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting has promised WNCU a $80,000 matching grant.
