Durham Named as Top 20 Finalist in Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Mayors Challenge

The City of Durham was selected as a Top 20  finalist for the Bloomberg Philanthropies' Mayor's Challenge, a competition created to generate innovation in cities across America. Durham's proposal to create entrepreneurship hubs in three distressed neighborhoods was selected from over 300 submissions to compete for a $5 million grand prize. The proposed project will now compete against 19 other cities across the country for a $5 million grand prize as well as one of four additional prizes of $1 million each.
